Wise individuals are open to listening, willing to learn from others, and always eager to acquire new knowledge.
A person who never listens but does it anyway and then regrets is often stubborn, driven by pride. They might dismiss advice with a quick ill be fine,” brushing off warnings or insights from others because they believe they know best or simply don’t want to be told what to do.
They tend to act first, think later. In the moment, they might feel empowered or defiant, proving something to themselves or others. But once the consequences hit, regret surfaces. This person will not admit it out loud.
Their tendency to ignore advice can leave them learning lessons the hard way, over and over.
Ego preservation: they rebel and do the opposite, a psychological resistance to being told what to do.They are failing to consider that others advice could actually improve their outcomes.
After things go wrong, they often experience regret (If only I had listened)
The irony is: they often do learn from the experience but only after the damage is done.
